YOLO Rolled Ice Cream & Candy Co. in Missouri

"MUST KNOW FOR ALLERGIES... My wife and daughter both have food limitations, REAL ONES. My daughter has sufficient allergies and my wife can't process dairy. A true intolerance, not just an "upset tummy w/ diarrhea" problem either. It varies, but at times she becomes violently ill, has on occasion briefly lost consciousness while sick. (She has approved my posting this, to be clear.) The aim of this somewhat overshare is due to some negative reviews we read about this establishment. They have options for different allergies, intolerance, and preference. Admittedly the first visit we felt that staff was almost off putting when we began stating our limitations. However, we soon realized that they are only being thorough to meet the needs of each customer. They get very busy b/c it's so good, but also b/c each cup is an all around experience. Every order takes time being processed as it is not a scoop and cup style shop. They have a small crew that all want your health and safety recognized. They have specific questioning to verify if they may need to process your order in the back cold counter, or if they can sub something for you and offer suggestions or helpful food facts. Special prep does impact the flow of service when they are busy. We only know that by seeing it on a peak time visit. They never said anything before and always offer it to those truly needing. Having limitation sucks, but we never expect all places to have something for each of us. Personally, I feel most food related negative reviews are from people w/ limits feeling entitled to all establishments accommodating individual limits. Yes, it's nice to walk in to a food establishment and the whole family can enjoy. At this rolled ice cream shop, we can. We trust this place!"

"I recently visited YOLO Rolled Ice Cream and it was an absolute delight! The ice cream was delicious, but what really stood out was the incredible staff. They were as sweet as the ice cream they serve! An incident happened where my ice cream fell, and to my surprise, they replaced it for free, even though it was entirely my fault. I was expecting to pay for it, but their kindness and generosity truly impressed me. Special thanks to Lincoln, the exceptional employee who served me and my family during our visit. "So delicious!! I got the chocolate strawberries the owner his mother in law and wife (also owner)were running the place. It was fun to watch them make the rolled ice cream right in front of you!! Don’t forget to browse the candy shop before or after you get some amazing rolled ice cream!!"

"It was fun watching them put cream and toppings onto a -20 surface and dice everything up and flatten it out to scoop into rolls. The people there were SO friendly and several customers seemed to be very regulars and on a first-name basis with the folks working the counter."
